Oil or Acrylic Portrait in Photoshop

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Some clients have been asking me to make their Portrait Experience something more unique.

Here, is what my selected clients can expect from me…

This is a technique where I paint over the photo, using Photoshop, and at the end your Photo will look like an Oil or Acrylic Portrait, and is perfect for clients that want a large Print or Canvas to hang at their house.

Here in the computer, with this small sample in low resolution, it is very hard to notice all the strokes details of the oil portrait style as well as you can see in a Photo Paper or Canvas, but I can assure you… It is gorgeous!

If you want your next Portrait Experience to be something more unique, Call me:

Photoshop Tutorial - A better Presentation for your Pictures

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

 photoshop

As you might know, last week I was helping my wife with some shots for some editorial pictures that she needed to send to her agent.

On this post, I want to show you how I use photoshop to make a better presentation of my pictures. I learned a technique similar to this with Scott Kelby.

I will start with my last photo-session that I did last week:

First, I open the picture in photoshop and make all the adjustments (levels, color correction, etc)

tutorial demo 1

Next…

-I create a Stroke (inside - size 10 - white),

- a Canvas Size width and height 0.1″ (black)

- another Canvas Size width and height 1″ (using some color from the picture - on this case a dark green)

- another Canvas Size Height 1″ (just the height and just to the bottom)

- a Stroke (inside - size 10 - white)

- a Canvas Size width and height 0.2″ (black)

And for last I choose some font and write down my information…

I like to print few 4″x6″ and leave them at the GYM, Hair Salon, etc…

If you need any help… just send me a note. OK?

The Automate Millionaire Homeowner by David Bach

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

Ok. You already know that I love Photography and Video, etc… etc… etc…

But, what I haven’t told you yet, is that I also love to read. The only thing is… I don’t read drama or novels. I just read books that I think that will improve my life in somehow. Example: I love to read books about Photography, Photoshop, Video, Editing Systems, so I can improve the quality of my work. But I also like to read books like; Marketing, Do it yourself (projects), Self Help, HOW to… (books) and any other book that teach me how to be a better person or how to improve my financial status.

I just finished reading a great book “The Automate Millionaire Homeowner - by David Bach”, you can read more about the book or the author at www.finishrich.com.

It is a very easy book to understand and give you a lot of helpful tips about how to built a secure financial future using Real State as a tool. The author also gives a lot of other helpful websites so you can keep you own research. Remember that this book is not about making money fast, or flipping houses.

Anyway.. I thought that this information would be helpful to you. If you have the chance, please don’t hesitate to try this book.

Let me know what you think. OK?

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

This week I was playing with few of the new actions from Kubota Actions that I bought in Vegas (WPPI - 2008).

I wanted to go over few older pictures that I did and check how the actions could improove the quality of my work.

From now on, you might see more and more of my work integrated with these actions.

Give a look and tell me what you think.

Adobe Photoshop Express

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

I just gave a fast look at a cool new product from ADOBE, it is the ADOBE PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS.

At first, it felt a lot like a combination of Photoshop and Lightroom for online users. To say the truth, it was very simple and very efficient. There are some features there that I wish that Photoshop could take advantage of.

Anyway… Check this cool Web Tutorial: ADOBE PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS TUTORIAL
