Tomorrow - April 10, 2009 - Passion Night Club @ Hard Rock - Hollywood, FL, will be hosting one of the biggest parties of the year.
The theme for this party is Celebrity x Paparazzi, and they are expecting to have the house sold out for the event.
The interesting thing about this party is that they are celebrating a local Photographer’s Birthday (Paulo Jordao) that, together with one of Passion’s VIP Event Planer (Erin Mia Milchman - www.backtothepussycat.com), came with the idea of inviting not only the most beautiful people of Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beaches, but they also invited a bunch of professional photographers to make this party a truly “Celebrity X Paparazzi” Party.
For sure, this event will be one of that events that people will be talking about for long and long time to come.
Saturday, when I was still having lunch with the Ft Lauderdale Photowalk Group, I got a call from a friend of mine asking me if I could help her mom (Macy’s Bridal department Manager). The original Photographer that was supposed to be at their Bridal Show had just called saying that he couldn’t make it.
I came home to change my clothes as fast as I could, got some sample albums, business cards, few 20″ x 30″ enlargements and drove to Macy’s (Galleria Mall).
There I met few interesting vendors and talked with few beautiful brides.
I just want to thank “CUKA” (my friend’s mom) for having me there. She did an excellent job organizing the event.
Here are few pictures that I took while I was there.
A lot of people ask me about Photowalk and what they should bring with them, what kind of clothes to wear and etc.
There are few things that you can do to make your Photowalk Experience 100% stress free.
If you are coming to our Photowalk on August 23, 2008 ( Saturday - 9:00 am) would be good if you could read this new article that I wrote and just got published at E-ZIME (Click Here).
I hope that you enjoy the article, and if you live here in South Florida you could even come to our Fort Lauderdale Photowalk.
This weekend I went to the beach in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea (North of Broward), to check the place where I want to organize my next Photowalk (coming in August).
I got some nice shots there, but today I just want to show you some pictures that I took of a 5 Feet Tall SHARK that Died in South Florida Hot Water.
4th of July is a very important Holiday, maybe the most important American Holiday.
Today, even if is just for today, I want you to forget if you are Democrat or Republican, if you leave on East or West Coast, I want you to forget if you are Rich or Poor, and I don’t care what country you were born, because today we are Americans.
Today I want to see you smiling… because I will be smiling back at you!!!
Today I want you to give me your hand… because I’m coming to shake yours!!!
Tonight I want you to stand proud at the first blast of the fireworks and remember…
… Today is our INDEPENDENCE DAY!
HAPPY 4th of JULY
PS. The dog on this picture, is my big baby MAX (isn’t he cute?)
Blog, Twitter and Flickr…, these are my three new great ways to keep in contact with people that want to know a little more about me and my work.
If you are reading this post, means that you are on my Blog ( www.paulopics.com/blog ). Here I write about some of my work, clients and some personal stuff also.
My next “thing” is TWITTER. There, I write 3 or four times a day just little sentences about what I am doing of my day. You can also check the notes from Twitter on the landing page of my website www.paulopics.com.
And two months ago I signed to FLICKR (you can post some random pictures there). I use Flickr to organize a group that I created FORT LAUDERDALE PHOTOWALK. There you can check not just pictures that I’ve taken, but also pictures of everybody that is part of that group.
Let me know if I can help you with your Blog, Twitter or Flickr. OK?
I wanted to upload some pictures on my last post, but I didn’t have a subject to shoot other than my son, and he was not on the mood. So I took just these two shots.
That was in my TV room with a little light coming from a french door on his right hand side (camera settings: NO FLASH - AV - f/1.4 - 1/30s - ISO 100)
At night, just before we went to take a shower, he was goofing around wearing my tennis shoes and using my socks as gloves. So I grabbed the camera and took some more shots.
I decided that I would shoot with the same conditions as I do when I shoot my indoor events using my Canon 580EX II Speedlite TTL Shoe Mount Flash + THE LIGHTSPHERE from Gary Fong. NOW, the camera setting was on MANUAL - f/1.6 - 1/80s - ISO 100 (PS- On most of my indoor events I shoot ISO 400).
Today it was the “Trophy Day” at Dania Optimist Club. This means that today was the last day of the baseball season.
The people responsible for the organization of the teams, uniform, snacks and today’s great party “Trophy Day”, did a great job. We had three huge bouncing houses for the kids, plus hot-dogs, hamburgers, drinks, deserts, etc…
At the end, was the time to give the trophy to the little athletes. What a great Trophy that they got this year.
The baseball season will happen next year again, but in few months the Dania Optimist Club will start their Soccer season.
I can’t wait to see my little athlete playing soccer.
P.S. - GOOD NEWS… All the pictures are already available on Pictage Website. If you would like to see and/or purchase all the pictures taken at the “TROPHY DAY”, please ”Click Here” .
I want to thank you for stopping by and having some time to read and comment on my posts.
This blog was created with you in mind. Here I will post few of my professional work, plus few little things of my personal life. I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I do creating it for you.
