Miami Photography - Trash the Dress - Photography Workshop

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

Hi, my name is Paulo Jordao - http://www.paulojordao.com, and I am a international Photographer (Weddings and Fine Art Portraits) living in South Florida.

Last Sunday I had an amazing experience with one of my Workshops “Trash the Dress - Light and Location”, for Photographers from Miami - Fort lauderdale - Palm Beaches.

I had checked the location twice before I started marketing this Workshop. It is was a beautiful small park just south of Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

For this Workshop, I Had 19 Photographers, 12 models and 4 Makeup Artists - I also want to enjoy this post to thank all them for their amazing professionalism and beautiful job.

We had 3″ of rain that afternoon and most of people would think that we would not have the courage to go ahead with our schedule, but I am glad we did.

Here are few images of that day, let me know what you think.

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

Before you start reading to deep into this post or watching the following video, I want to say something important…

This is a very creative video that will teach you 101 tips for short-cuts in Photoshop. If you don’t know what Photoshop is, or you don’t care about the short-cuts, you might not enjoy this video as much as I did. But, if you like Photoshop, go ahead and get a pen and paper… You are going to need it.

:-)

This is a Music Video, more like a Video-Clip (MTV style), that will certainly help you with your Photoshop skills.

Enjoy it!

I would love to know what you think about this post.

Please, leave a comment.

4th of July making easy money.

As you know, I like read and study a lot. I am always looking for a way to improve my income and share this knowledge with other people. I also like to check all kind of opportunities that Internet has to offer.

Today, we celebrate the 4th of July, and with my wife and son traveling, it left me to much time on my hands to check all kind of Crazy Websites.  So, I want to share with you what I just found about this new way to make money.

I want you to watch this next video very carefully (not even 60 seconds).

You are not going to believe what your eyes are going to see.

Here you go…

I told you… I have to much free time on my hands.

:-)

I wish that I could teach you how to make money that easy.

Anyway…

Happy 4th of July!!!

Photoshop Tutorial - A better Presentation for your Pictures

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

 photoshop

As you might know, last week I was helping my wife with some shots for some editorial pictures that she needed to send to her agent.

On this post, I want to show you how I use photoshop to make a better presentation of my pictures. I learned a technique similar to this with Scott Kelby.

I will start with my last photo-session that I did last week:

First, I open the picture in photoshop and make all the adjustments (levels, color correction, etc)

tutorial demo 1

Next…

-I create a Stroke (inside - size 10 - white),

- a Canvas Size width and height 0.1″ (black)

- another Canvas Size width and height 1″ (using some color from the picture - on this case a dark green)

- another Canvas Size Height 1″ (just the height and just to the bottom)

- a Stroke (inside - size 10 - white)

- a Canvas Size width and height 0.2″ (black)

And for last I choose some font and write down my information…

I like to print few 4″x6″ and leave them at the GYM, Hair Salon, etc…

If you need any help… just send me a note. OK?
