Spirit Airlines - Do not fly on this one!

Today is a great day for me, I am flying to Las Vegas for our annual convention WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International). The only problem that I have is… SPIRIT AIRLINES. Oh gosh I don’t even know how I should start this post.
After the “circus” that Airports and Air Companies started doing here in America, I can say that it have taken away all the pleasure of flying. I know that they say that is because of security, blah, blah, blah. Than you have the huge lines, blah, blah, blah. Than, you can not bring liquid, blah, blah, blah. Than you have no food inside the airplane anymore.
But today I got the latest of I can qualify “lower quality company” in a modern world. I got my tikets and hotel confirmation, form TRAVELOCITY.com and haded to the airport. When I got here, the lady from SPIRIT AIRLINES told me that it would cost me extra $20.00 for my only bag that I was checking in. I was surprised that my medium bag would be that heavy. Than she told me that was not because of the weight. That was the new Policy ($20.00 per Bag).
Can you imagine that? Would you be OK if you were taking a taxi and the driver turned to you and charge for each bag or each person, etc?
I don’t know… Maybe it is just me, or it is just because I am still waiting my Flight here at Fort Lauderdale Airport.
But tell me… Am I wrong? What happened with quality and excellence of service?
Anyway… Get away from SPIRIT AIRLINES!!!

I am not shocked about anything Spirit Airline does. I flew their airline in July 07 to St. Marteen when they decided to lose my luggage for 2 weeks. I was told by numerous Spirit personnel that I would be compensated for interim cost. Not only do they have the worst customer service, they sent me a measly check for $300 when clothing and sundries cost me about $1300. Once the luggage did arrive half of my new items were missing. I filed a pilfrage claim that has gone totally ignored along with no response from Management or the CEO, whom has been emailed on all the inquiries. I paid $3200 to this airlines for my elederly mom and siblings to take a vacation of a life time. Spirit Airlines made out trip a NIGHTMARE of a life time. Thanks Spirit you SUCK!!!

Hi Camile. I am sorry for what you went trough.
I can’t understand why there is no law or a organization that would protect us, costumers, from all these abuses that Air Companies and Airports make.
And please… don’t tell me that is for my security… etc… etc!!!

My boyfriend and I flew Spirit Airlines this month and honestly we had the worse experience ever. First of all, we paid for the big front seats, we were able to sit in them going but coming back we had to sit in the back of the plane. When I got home and called Spirit they told me I should have mentioned it to the counter people at the airport because it wasn’t anything they could do for me. To top it off, when we first boarded the plane the stewardess we rude, yelling over the PA for everyone to sit down because we’re taking off on time. I couldn’t believe all that we went through. I WILL NEVER FLY SPIRIT……

SCREW SPIRIT AIRLINES AND THEIR EMPLOYEES, THEY SUCK BIG TIME AND IF YOU USE THEM FOR TO GET YOU TO YOUR DESTINATION THEY WILL FUCK UP YOUR VACATION……

This is the WORST airline EVER. My family and I had so many problems that I WILL NEVER FLY with them again. First of all, they have a non existent costumer service. I don’t have a problem paying for the luggage but not honoring the print out from the Internet and trying to charge us twice for the luggage is too much . We had a 10 month baby with us , the employees of this F@!@# airline broke our brand new stroller , we had to carry our baby plus all the other luggage + the broken stroller around the airport… You can only imagine how fun that was!!! After 3 months of getting receipts , repair estimates and all the other crap they send us a letter saying they won’t be able to compensate us for lack of information. THIS AIRLINE IS FULL OF CRAP!!!! DON’T EVER FLY WITH SPIRIT!!!!!
